Our Craftsmanship & Process

  1. 1. Survey & Material Sourcing

We begin with an on-site survey, drone imagery, and moisture mapping. Materials are sourced from FSC-certified quarries & local reclamation yards to match historical profiles.

  2. 2. Traditional Hand Dressing

Slates are hand-dressed and punched on-site, respecting historical coursing patterns.

  3. 3. Lead Burning & Welding

Lead sheets are fabricated using gas-oxy welding, ensuring watertight joints that exceed BS EN 12588.

  4. 4. Installation & Conservation

Our team installs under BS 5534 guidelines, integrating breathable membranes and stainless fixings for longevity while preserving original aesthetics.

  5. 5. Waste & Water Management

Offcuts are recycled; rainwater harvesting tanks supply tool washing, reducing mains water use by 36%.
