Request a Roof SurveyHeritage Slate & Stone Ltd. is a family-run firm dedicated to the meticulous restoration and installation of traditional roofing systems. We believe every roof tells a story, and our duty is to make sure that story endures.
From Georgian townhouses to listed ecclesiastical buildings, our craftsmen combine centuries-old techniques with modern safety standards, ensuring every project meets both aesthetic and structural excellence.
Based in the UNESCO city of Bath, we respect the region’s architectural legacy while securing its future one slate at a time.

We begin with an on-site survey, drone imagery, and moisture mapping. Materials are sourced from FSC-certified quarries & local reclamation yards to match historical profiles.
Slates are hand-dressed and punched on-site, respecting historical coursing patterns.
Lead sheets are fabricated using gas-oxy welding, ensuring watertight joints that exceed BS EN 12588.
Our team installs under BS 5534 guidelines, integrating breathable membranes and stainless fixings for longevity while preserving original aesthetics.
Offcuts are recycled; rainwater harvesting tanks supply tool washing, reducing mains water use by 36%.
